Accountant ACCOUNTANT
What you do
You run the money side of the warehouse. You generate bills for stored and delivered goods, record the payments that come in against them, and drive the year-end auto-close that settles open accounts. You rely on the receipts that Staff record and Managers approve — once stock has moved, the billing picks up the rate card and turns it into an invoice you can issue and reconcile.
Storage charges accrue from a lot's Billing Effective Date — a per-inward date that starts the billable clock independently of the operator's deposit date, and that feeds the year-end auto-close. (It replaces the old rate-card grace period.) The date can be edited on View Records, with a recorded reason, only until the first bill is raised against that lot — after which it is locked.

Processes you participate in
- Stock Inward — receiving goods — you do not record inward yourself, but the approved receipt and its rate card are what your bills are built from, so it is worth knowing how a receipt reaches the live stock list.
More process guides (billing, payments, auto-close) arrive in a later release.
First-day checklist
- Open the billing area and find where bills are generated.
- Generate a bill for an existing delivery so you understand the rate-card flow.
- Record a payment against that bill and confirm the balance updates.
- Review the year-end auto-close settings so you know how open accounts are closed.
